Tech for Living in Space Lesson with Tech She Can

Are your students interested in space? Would they like to know how astronauts use technology to live and work in space? Could they see themselves working in a future career using or designing space technology? 

Join us on Tuesday 1st October at 2:00pm, when our Tech She Can Teacher, Poppy, will deliver a virtual 50 minute Tech We Can LIVE lesson for students aged 7 – 11. This will be an interactive session where the children will be guided to complete paper based tasks and partner discussions – they therefore need to be based at a table with a piece of paper and pen/pencil. 

Poppy will highlight the role technology plays in helping astronauts stay healthy in space, how technology can be used to communicate with people in space and even how technology helps keep astronauts entertained. She will also show some of the careers within space technology that students could pursue in the future. The students will also have the opportunity to hear from some space technology role models. 

The content is being delivered to help celebrate the Ada.scot Festival and is ideal for a P4 – P7 (KS2 in England) lesson in the classroom environment or from home. Simply complete the registration form to reserve your spot and we’ll send you a link to join the live lesson.
