If the World Were a Village

As part of our Maths Week Scotland celebrations, we’re excited to host an author event at National Museums Scotland. David Smith, the author of "If the World Were a Village," will be leading an engaging session at the National Museum of Scotland's auditorium on Tuesday, September 24th between 1:30pm - 2:30pm.

This event is designed for P5-7 students and will feature an interactive workshop with David Smith. His book, "If the World Were a Village," presents global population statistics in a compelling way by imagining the world as a village of 100 people, making complex concepts easy to understand.

If you would like to reserve a spot for your class, please email a.brien@nms.ac.uk with the following information:

  • Your name

  • Your school's name

  • Your class group and size

  • Your email address

  • Any accessibility requirements for your students

If you’re considering bringing multiple classes, please indicate how many and their sizes, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

This event is free, but travel will need to be covered by the school.

Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so availability cannot be guaranteed.

Date: 24th September
Time: 1.30pm - 2.30pm
